Our client is a specialised health informatics company that builds systems for clinical and business intelligence in the healthcare sector. The company has a range of products to drive high performance healthcare in both the public and private sectors: hospitals, community and home services. Our client is Adelaide based but is focused on the national (and international) healthcare markets with plans to open offices in Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales.

The Role:

The Vice President - Software Development is a Senior Executive position and the successful appointee will work closely with the VP Sales & Martketing and co-founders of the company, as a member of the executive management team. In addition you will have exposure to the company's Board and will play a key role in establishing the company as the benchmark decision support technology provider in the national and international healthcare markets.

This key position will be fundamental to the company achieving a number of its strategic goals, in particular:

overseeing the management of all development projects,
managing the further development of the company's products,
implementing further improvements to the established development toolset to lower risk and improve efficiency,
managing the development and execution of Software Development resources, processes and outcomes, and
participating in the company's marketing initiatives.

Your skills/experience:

Applicants should have a strong background in the area of product development and Project Management in Agile like environments and be able to demonstrate a successful track record in the above functions in the context of complex software applications.

Excellent communication skills are essential.

An understanding of the Australian healthcare industry is desirable.

This position is based in Adelaide, however, occasional travel to client sites is envisaged.
